In cold die forging the process is slightly complex and machining of these components is not required.The cost of an open die forging process is lower in comparison to the latter. The dimensional accuracy of closed die forging is better than open die forged products. Closed die forging is utilized for the production of simple and complex fixtures. Open die forging is only suited for producing simple grades.
